Colorful tape could ease Kids' IV pain
NCT ID NCT07316036
Summary
This study is testing whether using patterned, colorful medical tape to secure an IV needle can reduce pain and stress in children who regularly need intravenous therapy. Children in the study will try both patterned tape and plain tape on different treatment days, and researchers will measure their pain levels and vital signs. The goal is to see if a simple, visual distraction can make routine medical procedures easier for kids.
