Colorful tape could ease Kids' fear of needles
NCT ID NCT07316036
Summary
This study is testing if using patterned, colorful medical tape instead of plain tape can help reduce pain and stress for children who regularly get intravenous (IV) therapy. It involves 40 children, each of whom will try both the patterned and plain tape on different treatment days. Researchers will measure the child's pain levels and check their heart rate and oxygen levels to see if the patterned tape makes the IV procedure easier.
