Navigating to surgery: a new study aims to close the gap in parathyroid care

NCT ID NCT06562881

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a patient navigator—someone who helps guide patients through the healthcare system—can increase the number of people with primary hyperparathyroidism who actually get surgery. The study will enroll 76 people from groups that have historically faced barriers to care. Researchers will track how many complete a surgical consultation and how long it takes to get surgery.
