Scientists hunt for early warning signs of Parkinson's
NCT ID NCT00775853
Summary
This study aimed to find biological markers that could identify people at risk for Parkinson's disease before they show any movement symptoms. Researchers followed 89 people with multiple risk factors (like family history or loss of smell) for up to 7.5 years, testing their brain, heart, and spinal fluid. The goal was to see if specific test results could predict who would later be diagnosed with Parkinson's.
