First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study used brain scans to compare a specific serotonin receptor (5-HT4) in 40 people with mild-to-moderate Parkinson's disease versus healthy volunteers of similar age. The goal was to see how these receptors relate to movement, thinking, and mood symptoms. No treatment or drug was tested—only imaging and questionnaires were used.
