Summary
This early-stage study tests whether transplanting donated parathyroid tissue into the forearm can help people with hypoparathyroidism achieve normal calcium and phosphorus levels. Three adults who have low parathyroid hormone after surgery will receive the transplant and take lifelong anti-rejection drugs. The goal is to reduce or eliminate the need for daily calcium and vitamin D supplements.
