First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tested a behavioral program to help older veterans with obstructive sleep apnea use their positive airway pressure (PAP) machine more consistently. About 100 veterans who had stopped using their PAP device worked with a sleep coach over several sessions. The goal was to improve sleep, daytime alertness, and quality of life by making PAP use a regular habit.
