New study aims to spot pancreas surgery complications earlier

NCT ID NCT06126601

First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study watches 150 adults who had part of their pancreas removed to see if high blood enzyme levels (hyperamylasemia) can predict serious problems like pancreatitis. Researchers want to improve how doctors define and catch these complications early. Participants just give blood samples and let their recovery be tracked—no extra treatments are tested.
