NCT ID NCT05116072
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests a two-step procedure for people with pancreatic or related cancers who are at high risk of complications from standard surgery. Instead of the usual partial pancreas removal, surgeons remove the entire pancreas and transplant the patient's own insulin-producing cells into the liver. The goal is to help more patients complete their full course of chemotherapy afterward while avoiding severe diabetes. About 36 adults will take part in this early-phase trial.
