Summary

This study tests a surgery called total pancreatectomy (removing the whole pancreas) combined with islet cell transplantation (placing insulin-making cells into the liver) for people with pancreatic or related cancers who are at high risk of complications from standard surgery. The goal is to help patients complete their full course of chemotherapy afterward while avoiding severe diabetes. About 36 adults will take part in this early-phase trial.
