Electric fields join chemo in fight against deadly pancreatic cancer

NCT ID NCT04605913

Summary

This study is testing whether combining three chemotherapy drugs with Tumor Treating Fields (TTF)—a wearable device that creates low-intensity electric fields to disrupt cancer cell division—can help control metastatic pancreatic cancer. The trial will enroll 40 adults with newly diagnosed metastatic pancreatic cancer who haven't had prior treatment for their advanced disease. Researchers want to see if this combination is safe and can help patients live longer without their cancer getting worse.
