Early trial zaps pancreatic tumors with heat
NCT ID NCT05723107
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether adding a heat treatment to chemotherapy is safe for people with advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. Doctors will use a special scope to deliver radiofrequency ablation (RFA), which uses heat to destroy tumor cells, alongside standard chemotherapy. The main goal is to see if patients can complete this combined treatment without severe side effects.
