Targeted radiation during surgery aims to stop pancreatic cancer growth

NCT ID NCT03716531

Summary

This study is testing whether delivering radiation directly to pancreatic tumors during surgery helps control cancer growth in people who have already completed several months of chemotherapy and external radiation. Researchers want to see if this targeted approach can improve survival while minimizing damage to healthy tissue. The study involves 199 adults with pancreatic cancer that involves nearby blood vessels.
