New biopsy method could simplify pancreatic cancer diagnosis
NCT ID NCT04165018
Summary
This study compared two types of biopsy needles used during endoscopic ultrasound procedures to diagnose pancreatic masses. Researchers collected tissue samples from 52 adult patients with pancreatic lesions to see which needle type provided better quality samples for lab testing. The goal was to determine if a newer biopsy method could provide accurate diagnoses without requiring an immediate on-site specialist during the procedure.
