New pain block may reduce opioid use after scoliosis surgery

Summary

This study tests a nerve block called MTP against standard patient-controlled pain medication (PCA) in 40 adults having scoliosis surgery. The goal is to see which method provides better pain control and reduces the need for extra painkillers. Participants will have their pain levels checked for 24 hours after surgery.
