New pain block method tested for port catheter surgery

Summary

This study tests if a special nerve block (SPSIP block) works better than standard local numbing medicine for reducing pain during port catheter implantation. About 70 adults having this procedure will be randomly assigned to one of the two pain relief methods. The goal is to see which approach causes less pain during the procedure.
