First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding two pain medicines (dexmedetomidine and fentanyl) to standard spinal anesthesia provides better pain relief after above-knee amputation for lower limb sarcoma. About 58 adults aged 18-60 will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug combination or fentanyl alone. The main goal is to see how long it takes before patients need additional pain medication after surgery.
