New study aims to find best pain relief for young boys after surgery

Summary

This study tests two different numbing injections to see which one controls pain better after hypospadias repair in boys aged 1 to 5 years. One injection targets a nerve area near the tailbone, the other targets a different spot in the lower back. Researchers will measure pain levels, need for extra pain medicine, and side effects over the first day after surgery.
