Summary
This study compared two different nerve block techniques for controlling pain after thyroid removal surgery. Researchers tested a newer method (erector spinae plane block) against a standard method (cervical plexus block) in 40 patients undergoing thyroid surgery. The goal was to see which approach better reduced pain and decreased the need for opioid pain medication after the operation.
