New nerve block technique tested for thyroid surgery pain

NCT ID NCT06974630

Summary

This study compared two different nerve-blocking techniques to see which works better for controlling pain after thyroid removal surgery. Researchers enrolled 40 adults undergoing thyroid surgery and randomly assigned them to receive one of two pain-block methods. The study measured how much pain medication patients needed after surgery and how well their pain was controlled in the first two days.
