New study aims to ease pain after common chest surgery in teens

Summary

This study looks at three ways to manage pain after surgery for pectus excavatum, a chest wall deformity often fixed in teenagers. The goal is to find which method works best to reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers. About 158 patients aged 12 to 21 will be randomly assigned to one of the three pain control approaches.
