Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks (erector spinae plane block vs thoracic paravertebral block) to control pain after chest surgery. The goal is to see which method reduces the need for opioid painkillers. 86 adults undergoing open chest surgery will be enrolled and monitored for pain levels and morphine use over 24 hours.
