Summary

This study tested two types of nerve blocks to manage pain after cancer surgery on the upper belly. 70 adults having liver or kidney surgery received either an erector spinae plane block or an external oblique intercostal plane block. The main goal was to see which block reduced the need for morphine pain medicine in the first 24 hours after surgery.
