C-Section pain showdown: spinal morphine vs belly block

NCT ID NCT07377630

First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study compares two pain relief methods after a planned C-section: a small dose of morphine given with the spinal anesthetic, versus a numbing injection into the belly wall (TAP block). About 100 women will take part to see which approach provides better pain control with fewer side effects. The goal is to improve recovery and comfort after childbirth.
