C-Section pain study: which method works best?

NCT ID NCT07377630

First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study compares two ways to manage pain after a planned C-section: a small dose of morphine given with the spinal anesthesia, or a nerve block (TAP block) using numbing medicine. About 100 women will take part, and researchers will measure pain levels, side effects, and recovery for 24 hours after surgery. The goal is to find which method provides better pain relief and improves the overall experience for mothers.
