NCT ID NCT07435493
First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at two methods to control pain after tonsil removal in children aged 5-10 who have mild to moderate sleep apnea. One method uses fentanyl (an opioid), the other uses a combination of non-opioid pain medicines. The goal is to see if the opioid-free approach works just as well but causes fewer breathing problems and side effects. 64 children will take part, and their pain will be measured using a standard scale.
