First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study compares two pain management strategies after knee or hip replacement surgery: using both tramadol and oxycodone versus oxycodone alone. The goal is to see if the combination reduces total opioid use, pain, and side effects. About 560 adults having their first knee or hip replacement will participate, and researchers will track their pain and medication use for up to 90 days after surgery.
