First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested three different numbing injections (nerve blocks) to see which one provides the best pain relief after a type of chest surgery called thoracoscopic sympathectomy. Sixty adults took part, and researchers measured how long it took before they needed morphine for pain. The goal is to find the most effective block to reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers.
