New study seeks best pain relief for colorectal surgery patients

Summary
This study compares two types of ultrasound-guided nerve blocks to control pain after colorectal surgery. Fifty adults scheduled for open colorectal surgery will receive one of the two blocks. The goal is to see which method provides better pain relief and reduces the need for additional pain medication.
