Summary
This study tests a new training program that helps people with chronic pain and emotional distress learn to accept their pain rather than fight it. Researchers will enroll 100 adults aged 18-70 who have significant pain and emotional symptoms. The training is based on dialectical thinking, which balances the desire to end pain with the ability to accept it as it is. The goal is to see if this approach reduces pain and improves confidence in daily functioning.
