New drug trial aims to reverse scarring in bone marrow disease

NCT ID NCT07394153

Summary

This study is testing whether the drug pacritinib can reduce scarring (fibrosis) in the bone marrow of patients with myelofibrosis who also have low platelet counts. Thirty participants will take pacritinib for up to two years, with regular check-ups to see if the drug improves bone marrow health, spleen size, and blood cell counts. The main goal is to see if the drug can reduce the level of bone marrow scarring after one year of treatment.
