Summary
This study tested whether giving oxytocin (a natural hormone) as a nasal spray before group therapy helps reduce negative symptoms like social withdrawal and lack of motivation in people with schizophrenia. 42 adults took part in a triple-blind, placebo-controlled trial. The goal was to see if oxytocin makes group therapy more effective by improving social connection and reducing stress.
