First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving patients more oxygen during and right after major surgery can lower the chance of wound infections and other complications. About 7,800 adults having planned surgeries will be randomly assigned to receive low, medium, or high oxygen levels. The goal is to find the best oxygen amount to help people recover faster and spend more time at home after surgery.
