Breathing easier to heal better? oxygen tested for Post-Surgery ankles
NCT ID NCT05185115
Summary
This study is testing if giving patients extra oxygen through a nasal tube after ankle fracture surgery helps prevent complications like poor wound healing and infections. It involves 200 patients who are at higher risk for these problems. Half will receive the oxygen therapy during their hospital stay, while the other half will not, to see which group has better recovery over six months.
