Doctors test common labor practice: does oxygen help or harm babies?
NCT ID NCT05681624
Summary
This study aims to find out if giving extra oxygen to mothers when the baby shows signs of distress during labor is safe and helpful. Researchers will compare giving oxygen to having mothers breathe normal room air in over 2,000 women. The goal is to provide clear evidence to guide doctors on whether this common practice should continue.
