New oxygen method aims to stop breathing scares in sleep apnea patients during procedures
NCT ID NCT07155330
Summary
This study tested whether a special high-flow nasal oxygen device could help prevent low oxygen levels during sedated endoscopy procedures. It focused on 80 patients at high risk for obstructive sleep apnea who were undergoing stomach or colon exams. Researchers compared breathing problems in patients using the special oxygen device versus standard care to see if it made procedures safer.
