Scientists test how nose spray painkiller works in the body

NCT ID NCT07223450

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the body absorbs and processes the pain medication oxycodone when given as a nasal spray compared to a liquid taken by mouth. Eight healthy volunteers received both forms in a specific order to measure drug levels in their blood over time. The main goal was to collect data to build and test a computer model that predicts how drugs move from the nose to the brain.
