First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at whether laparoscopic promontofixation, a common surgery for pelvic organ prolapse, can be safely performed as an outpatient procedure. Researchers enrolled 60 women and tracked how many needed to be readmitted to the hospital after going home the same day. The goal was to see if this approach reduces hospital stays without increasing complications or harming patient satisfaction.
