Summary
This study tests whether adding the weight-loss drug orlistat to standard gout treatment helps obese patients lower uric acid levels and reduce gout attacks. 120 adults with both gout and obesity will take orlistat or a placebo for 24 weeks, along with diet and exercise advice. The main goal is to see if more patients reach a safe uric acid level with orlistat.
