Summary
This study tests whether suvorexant, a drug used for insomnia, can help people with alcohol use disorder drink less. 250 adults who want to cut back on alcohol will take either suvorexant or a placebo nightly for 8 weeks. Researchers will track heavy drinking days, cravings, and stress responses to see if the drug works and for whom.
