First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tested two different light settings for photodynamic therapy in 33 children with port-wine stains (a type of birthmark). One group received a lower-power light for a longer time, the other a higher-power light for a shorter time. Both approaches were safe and effective, with similar results in clearing the birthmark after three months.
