Summary

This study tests whether smartphone apps and text messages can help African American adults aged 50 and older better manage their blood pressure and stick to their medications. High blood pressure is a major health issue for this group, and the goal is to see if technology can make it easier to control. About 208 participants will use a mobile health app and receive support to lower their blood pressure to safer levels.
