First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests if a simple blood test can tell which women are very unlikely to have breast cancer after a suspicious mammogram. About 75% of women called back for extra tests turn out to be fine, causing stress and wasted resources. The goal is to use blood biomarkers to safely skip unnecessary clinical mammograms, making screening more efficient and less stressful. 1,200 women from the Danish screening program will participate.
