Summary
This study looks at whether measuring the optic nerve sheath with ultrasound can reliably diagnose giant cell arteritis (GCA), a condition that causes inflammation in blood vessels. Researchers will enroll 190 people over age 50 with suspected GCA. The goal is to see if this simple, non-invasive test can replace more complex methods and speed up diagnosis.
