Summary
This study tests whether people with giant cell arteritis can safely stop steroids after 8 weeks instead of the usual 26 weeks, when also taking the drug tocilizumab. About 178 participants will be randomly assigned to either the short or long steroid course. The goal is to see if the shorter treatment prevents relapses just as well while reducing total steroid exposure.
