New toolkit aims to boost recovery in older cancer surgery patients

Summary
This study tests a pre-surgical toolkit (OPTI-Surg) designed to help older cancer patients recover faster and better after major surgery. The toolkit provides recommendations before surgery to improve physical function and reduce complications. About 325 participants with planned surgeries for cancers like colon, lung, or liver will use the toolkit, and their recovery will be tracked for 8 to 12 weeks after surgery.
