Tracking the opioid pill trail after cancer operations

NCT ID NCT06795087

Summary

This study aims to understand how many opioid pain pills patients actually take after major cancer surgery. Researchers will survey about 700 patients for 30 days after they leave the hospital to see how many pills they use and how they dispose of leftovers. The study will also test if an educational pamphlet helps patients safely get rid of unused medication.
