Tracking the opioid trail after cancer operations
NCT ID NCT06795087
Summary
This study aims to understand how many opioid pain pills patients actually take after major cancer surgery and how they dispose of leftover medication. Researchers will survey about 700 patients for 30 days after they leave the hospital to track their pain medication use and disposal habits. In the second year, the study will also test if providing an educational pamphlet helps patients safely get rid of unused pills.
