First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests a new treatment called OpCT-001 for people with inherited eye diseases like retinitis pigmentosa and Usher syndrome, which cause vision loss. The treatment involves injecting special cells into the eye to replace damaged light-sensing cells. The study has two parts: the first checks safety, and the second looks at whether the treatment can improve vision. About 54 adults will take part.
