Virtual choirs offer lifeline to isolated new moms with depression
NCT ID NCT04857593
Summary
This study tested whether weekly online group singing sessions could help mothers experiencing postnatal depression. 37 mothers with babies up to 9 months old joined a 6-week program of virtual singing classes. Researchers measured changes in depression, stress, and mother-baby bonding to see if this accessible, community-based activity could ease symptoms.
